Grammatical sketch of Ket

A compact reference grammar of Ket, the last surviving member of the Yeniseian language family (Siberia). It systematically covers phonology (consonants, vowels, four tonemes), nominal morphology (number, class, possession, relational morphemes), pronouns and demonstratives, adjectives, adverbs and numerals, and complex verbal morphology (polysynthetic verbs with templatic affix slots, tense/mood/aspect, agreement patterns, valency-changing derivations and numerous stem types). Additional sections treat action nominals, clause structure, copular constructions, interrogation, negation and constituent order, providing the essential facts needed for linguistic analysis or fieldwork.
